Qualifying Rounds will be under the direct authority of the designated Qualifying Chairperson. The Qualifying Chairperson will arrange the rules and procedures and so notify each contestant. Should an exempt player choose to qualify and return a score insufficient to qualify, he shall lose his exemption. If the number of entries recieved in any sectional qualifier is less than the number required to allocate a position in the tournament proper, then that qualifier may be cancelled by the Committee. In such a case, the contestants affected shall be entitled to a refund of their entry fee, or, if feasible, offered the opportunity to qualify in another Section. |
