Automotive Transportation is permitted in this Championship. Contestants MUST PAY for a cart for all rounds, but may walk if they choose to do so.  The fee for carts is $30 per day, and includes use of the practice facility.

Entries will be limited to male amateur golfers who enjoy membership privileges at Clubs belonging to the New York State Golf Association, or are NYSGA Associate Members. Entrants must have attained their 55th birthday by September 9, 2008. USGA Rules prevail, except when otherwise modified by the Executive Committee. All entries are subject to the approval of the Executive Committee, which reserves the right to disqualify or default any player at any stage of the Tournament for any reason deemed sufficient by it. It also reserves the right to amend this program at any stage of the Tournament.

If the Host Club prohibits use of metal or ceramic spikes, a contestant who wears these spikes will be disqualified.

The field will be comprised of the 164 lowest handicap indices entered as of the entry deadline, August 21, 2008. If there are ties for the 164th spot, the date entries were received will determine which entries are included.

Contestants are required to check in at the New York State Golf Association desk at Normanside CC by 3:00pm Monday, September 8, 2008. If this is not possible, please phone the NYSGA at (888) NYSGA-23 by that time and advise them of your intentions.
